-"Style is a way to say who YOU are without having to speak." My personal favorite quote.
Indeed Style is a way to say who YOU are without having to speak, because the first thing a person notices about you is how you look, what you're wearing, and how you're wearing it and this is how that person makes up his/her "opinion" (which might be correct or wrong so don't always judge a book by its cover) about who you are, your personality, your job, your hobbies etc.
Style is what makes people look different. Imagine how the world would be if everyone had the same style, same taste in clothes, same makeup, same shoes, same bags even same hairstyles.... The world would be a very boring place for me.
I love to express my personality through my style. And I try to be "In" style but sometimes you just gotta create your OWN style by mixing different styles together and this is how I do it :).
Not to ramble anymore I am going to get straight to the point of this blog post.
I'm writing this post to let you know about the latest fashion trends for this fall/winter 2016/2017.
1. Statement furs

Colorful fur or even black and white fur can be worn such as jackets, coats or even vests. Personally I am AGAINST Real Fur. I hate what they do to the poor animals in order to take their fur and it's just so cruel. So I am totally speaking about Faux Fur here!
2. Velvet

Velvet is one of those trends that not many will find wearable. It can be quiet tough to pull off an-all velvet look but my tip if you are not so daring, is to wear 1 piece of velvet clothing item. It can either be a shirt, top or pants and pair them with denim for an everyday outfit or with something elegant on a night out. I've also seen "sleeping" dresses worn with simple white t-shirt under and they look glamorous.
3. Metallics

The Metallic trend used to be trendy in the old days. My Mama used to rock this Metallic clothing trend in the old days and I really love it. It reminds me of the moon and stars for some reason. Just a tip to have in mind: when you wear a statement piece like this in my opinion you should go easy with your overall makeup. Otherwise, you'll look like a. .... disco-ball and no offense if that's the look you're going for but yeah :D
4. The Statement choker

One of my personal favorites! You can incorporate any statement choker into your look. This trend can turn any simple outfit into an edgy chic outfit. You can just wear a simple white T-shirt paired with ripped jeans and put on a statement choker and girl you're ready to run the world!
5. Hoodies

You know the feeling when it's cold outside and you're just lounging in your pj's ? Well, this trend is for those who are a bit "lazy" or lets say casual. Let's say you just have to run some errands in the city, this is what you could wear. It's a really comfy trend and easy to pull off. Anyone can rock a hoodie right?
6. The Navy

A come back trend as well. The Navy trend can be worn either as a coat ,jacket, top or pants. It is very versatile because you can wear it casually or incorporate it into a more glamorous outfit.
7. 50 Shades of Grey

Grey is the most elegant color that suits most skin-tones. You can wear it in the office for a "professional" look or casually by pairing it with any other color most preferably black or white. Grey suits, grey coats, grey dresses, grey skirts basically anything grey and you'll be trendy.
8. Pumpkin Spice

I'm sure you've heard of Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte drink, well this trend is kind of the same thing but clothe-wise. Not all skin-tones can pull off this trend as the color might not suit everyone. You can style this look by wearing a wool dress, or satin shirt or dress. It's definitely inspired by Halloween.
9. The Shearling coat/jacket

This trend is perfect for those who live in really cold climates because these coats really make you warm. I already own 2 jackets and oh my....I never feel cold while wearing them. Again I'm AGAINST animal skin so only Faux sheepskin intended.
10. The neck tie

One of the cutest trends that I just adore! The neck tie can make any simple white shirt look girly and preppy at the same time. I love pairing the same white shirt as the ones in the image above with either ripped jeans for a casual look or with a pencil skirt for more of a "professional" and sophisticated look. It's so versatile that you can pair it with almost anything.
11. Shades of Tan

Another one of my personal favorite trend. Tan is a color I associate with the colder months and it gives me an earthy country vibe whenever I rock this trend. You can incorporate Tan into any pieces of clothing or accessories you desire. I love pairing my tan trench-coat with ripped jeans or black leather pants. Another option I go for is to wear tan colored ankle boots and pair them with a tan colored bag. The options are endless.
And lastly wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Because confidence is the sexiest thing a person or in this case a Woman can "wear". If you don't like following fashion trends you can create your own style. Mix and match different pieces of different materials to create your OWN style. And never be afraid to experiment with your style because If you don't try you'll never know.
Until next time,
