Natural DIY Facial Masks

Our skin goes through a lot of damage, due to sun and wind exposure as well as temperature changes that can make our skin feel dry and tired leaving it ''without life'' . We normally have a million things to do in a day that we forget one of the most important things, Our selves. There are a lot of ways to pamper yourself without the expensive visits to the Spa. So instead of ringing your favorite Spa for an appointment you can turn your own home into a relaxing sanctuary by grabbing a few kitchen items and mixing them together to get the perfect solution to your beauty problem. And the fun part is that you can even invite your friends or family members over for a Spa session.

Mask #1 Yoghurt Green Tea Facial Mask

If your face is feeling dull and tired, this face mask is for you!

What it does is that it gives your face a radiant glow as well as rejuvenation.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 tablespoon yoghurt

  • 2-3 green tea bags

  • Pinch of Turmeric

  • A squeeze of lemon

  • Your favorite face serum/moisturizer

  • A small bowl for mixing the ingredients

  • A spoon or wooden stick for mixing

  • A face mask brush (optional)

Step 1

Tie your hair back & wash your face with warm water to open your pores.

After that dry clean with a towel.

Step 2

Mix all of the ingredients in a small bowl with a clean spoon or wooden stick.

Step 3

Apply the yoghurt green tea face mask using your brush or your fingers to your face including the under eye area in a thick layer and don't forget your neck too!

Let sit for about 25-40 minutes then wash off with warm water and dry with a towel.

Step 4 (optional)

Apply your favorite face serum/moisturizer.

Mask #2 Avocado & Honey Facial Mask

If your face is feeling dry and your skin is peeling, this face mask is for you! The Avocado and coconut oil help by providing moisture and nourishment and honey helps to heal dry skin as it's a natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory so it also helps in treating pimples that are under the skin. Trust me your face will feel like babies skin after using this mask! ;)

Here’s what you need:

  • 1/2 ripe avocado

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

  • Your favorite face serum/moisturizer

  • A small bowl for mixing the ingredients

  • A spoon or wooden stick for mixing.

  • A face mask brush (optional)

Step 1

Tie your hair back & wash your face with warm water to open your pores.

After that dry clean with a towel.

Step 2

Mash the avocado using a fork or a blender until it's smooth like whipped cream.

Step 3

Mix the honey and the coconut oil with the avocado to create a creamy paste.

Step 4

Apply the mask to your face and neck avoiding the under eye area using the brush or your fingers. Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes then wash off with warm water and dry your face using a face towel.

Step 5 (optional)

Apply your favorite face serum/moisturizer

*All of the ingredients can be found in your kitchen but if not, you can definitely find them at your local supermarket. You can use these masks on the following day but I recommend you to throw any remaining mixture after that as it will not be hygienic. Also if there's leftover of Mask #2 add some lemon juice before keeping it in a fridge as it will turn brown (avocado) if lemon juice is not added to the remaining mixture.

Oops I forgot to take a selfie with the #2 Mask on my face! Next time I make the mask, I owe you a selfie. Hmmm maybe I'll scare you on Halloween with this green face mask... =D

My advice to you is that next time you invite your friends over, make it a pamper day and it will be an unforgettable day for all.

I remember when I had my friends over , we literally had the spa day of our life!!! It was so much fun and I am looking forward to doing it again and again and again... =)
