Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I find it quiet difficult to find the perfect foundation for me especially here where I live, because the climate is really humid and nothing stays on my face without creasing. I have oily/Combination skin and I find most foundations to look too greasy or cakey on my face, but last April I had found the Perfect foundation. It's the Estee Lauder Double Wear , Stay-In-Place Makeup foundation with SPF10 ,30ml (RRP €42).

It was first launched in 1997, a very long time ago! Almost 20 years ago which is quiet old considering I'm 25 years old now!! Yes, Yesterday was my 25th Birthday!! Woohoo!! Happy Birthday to me!! :D

Let's go back to our main subject now,

The foundation looks thick as soon as you apply it to your skin and personally I prefer using a moisturizer or serum and mix it with it to make it more creamy which makes the application easier because by itself it can dry fast on the skin. I love to apply it using a flat foundation brush or a damp beauty blender/sponge. You need the tiniest amount of foundation if you are applying it with a foundation brush but if you are using a beauty blender you definitely need more foundation as it is absorbed by the beauty blender. This foundation has a medium to a full coverage foundation and what I love about it is that I can't even feel it on my face! It covers any imperfection without making it obvious that you have something on your face. Also it's very good for those of us with oily skin because it gives a matte result which stays actually matte for a long time. I was really impressed that my face wasn't shiny and didn't need any touch-up after almost 6 hours of having it on. The foundation has a strange scent that I actually like and don't mind although you can't actually smell it when it's on your face.

There are many shades to chose from which makes it easier to find your exact shade or mix a few shades together to create the perfect shade that suits your skin-tone.

The downside of this foundation is the heavy glass bottle it comes in, because it doesn't come with a pump which means it can be a bit messy sometimes...especially if you spill some of the foundation and it stays on the outer tip because it can dry and form a crusty surface which might not be too hygienic.

I recommend this foundation to anyone with oily/combination skin and redness as it has a Matte finish and medium to full coverage. If you have dry skin I am not sure you'll like this foundation. It has many great reviews and I think the only thing that bothers me about it is that it doesn't come with a pump so you have to make sure every time you use it to remember to clean the top part of the container with a clean tissue so it doesn't form a sticky residue and germs. You don't want any skin infection don't you? All in all, it is a really good foundation and you should totally give it a try.
