Each day another makeup product pops in the beauty world and as the Makeup hoarder I am I couldn't resist the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit (RRP on anastasiabeverlyhills.com $40 around €38) . There are 6 of them and their names are Gleam, That Glow, Sun-dipped, Sweets, Moonchild and in a few days Anastasia Beverly hills is coming out with another addition to the Glow Kits called Ultimate Glow. I own two of them; Gleam and That Glow. Each of them contains 4 different highlighter options excluding Moonchild and Ultimate Glow which contain 6 highlighters.
I remember I was really excited the day I received them in the mailbox! As I opened each Glow Kit and swatched the colours on my arm I felt the buttery-ness and smoothness of the highlighters and noticed that they're really pigmented and long-lasting. So these highlighters are not for the faint of heart as they are really pigmented and give you a strong glow. In addition to highlighters, you can even use them as eyeshadow if you like shimmery colours on your eyelids. You can wear them separately or layer them together.
Now let's talk about the highlighter shades. I will only have swatches of the ones I own . And will not be including description for the Ultimate Glow Kit as it's still not out yet . If you are interested in the other shades I will have photos of the other glow kits with their names below.
Gleam:
1. Hard Candy: Pearly peach with hints of baby pink shimmer.
2. Mimosa: Golden peach with a metallic finish.
3. Starburst: Cool-toned pink with shimmer.
4. Crushed Pearl: Similar to Hard Candy but has silver shimmer.
That Glow :
1. Sunburst: Bright silvery gold with duo-chrome finish.
2. Golden Bronze: Warm bronze with golden shimmer also has a duo-chrome finish.
3. Bubbly: Gold Rose champagne with iridescent particles.
4. Dripping in Gold: Peachy gold with rose gold shimmer.
Sun-dipped :
1. Bronzed: Warm Coppery bronze shade with a metallic finish.
2. Summer: Pale golden with shimmery finish.
3. Tourmaline: Rusty Rose gold with a metallic finish.
4. Moonstone: Similar to summer but more golden champagne tone.
Sweets :
1. Marshmallow: White shimmery iridescent.
2. Sassy Grape: Pink iridescent.
3. Butterscotch: Golden peach iridescent.
4.Taffy: Very warm pink with gold speckles of shimmer.
Moonchild :
1. Blue Ice: Icy blue duo-chrome finish.
2. Star: Icy white with flakes of white shimmer.
3. Purple Horseshoe: Icy purple with duo-chrome finish.
4. Pink Heart: Icy Pale pink.
5. Lucky Clover: Icy green with duo-chrome finish.
6. Blue Moon: Iridescent icy blue with duo-chrome finish.
In my opinion Gleam, Sweets and Moonchild are more suitable for people with pale/cool skin tones. Whereas, That Glow and Sun-dipped and Ultimate Glow suits people with a warm/tan/medium undertone. Moonchild is very different to the others because it has strange highlighter shades with duo-chrome effects and for some reason it reminds me of rainbows and unicorns ,yes you read that right! :D
All palettes have incredible pigmentation and go on very smooth on the skin. To be honest I prefer That Glow because I'm brunette with olive undertones and I feel it suits me better than Gleam. That Glow is my favorite highlighter palette from all the highlighters I own. I get compliments every time I have them on my face. I even got asked If I had done any plastic surgery to my cheek bones (crazy right?!), which I took as a compliment!!
I can't wait to try the new Ultimate Glow, Glow Kit they're coming out with!!!
All in all, I think every girl should own at least one of these gorgeous highlighter palettes because they are worth every penny!!!
